The MarketPlace

Welcome to the Virtual Summit MarketPlace, a curated list of the tech and tools I strongly recommend for each step of hosting your own virtual summit.  I have tested every recommendation on this page.  I have used them at one time or another in my various business ventures.

Some of the links below are affiliate links, which means that if you choose to make a purchase, I will earn a commission. This commission comes at no additional cost to you. I recommend them because they are helpful and useful, not because of the small commissions I make if you decide to buy something. Yes, there are other options. Use what is best for you and the purpose of your summit.

I host all my virtual summits on HeySummit. Why? It does it all, looks professional and the data it collects is invaluable. You can build a community, offer viral referrals, giveaways, manage your speakers and promote using this 1 tool.

Another option for hosting your virtual summit is a self-hosted WordPress website. All my websites and the sites I’ve built for others are hosted on SiteGround. (And yes, I’ve had others before). Their customer service is top-notch. My website has never been down. Plus adding WordPress, and emails addresses are at no additional cost.

ClickFunnels has a special funnel for virtual summits called…Summit Funnel (no surprise there). It’s what they use to host their summits. There are several templates for you to choose from.

ActiveCampaign is a robust email marketing system for more established businesses. You will need a way to communicate with everyone who registers for your summit. I use it to nurture my leads after the summit is over.

MailerLite is intuitive and easy to use for beginners to use for their email marketing campaigns.  Drag and drop templates will help you automate everything you need for your summit.

Acuity Scheduling

I have speakers from all over the world that I need to schedule for pre-interviews and interviews. I appreciate how Acuity integrates with everything I need for my virtual summits, business and life.

In just a few clicks, you can configure Calendly for your scheduling needs. It can grow with you as your business grows.

Zoom is the ONLY tool I recommend for recording videos. The link is accessible worldwide with any additional charges. They also save all your recording for you in 3 different formats. This can be handy for marketing or repurposing content.

Zapier helps your tools talk and work with each other so you can be super productive. They integrate over 1500 apps and have thousands of ways for you to use them together.

Google Drive

If you’ve signed in to any Google product before (like Gmail, Maps, or YouTube), you already have a Google Account. This gives you access to Google Drive and apps such as Docs, Sheets and Slides which is comparable to Microsoft Word. I use these apps multiple times a day. I COULD NOT run my business without it. Best part…it’s free.

YouTube is the largest video sharing site. You will need a place for your speakers to upload their videos. Even if you use HeySummit or Click Funnels they will need to pull your videos from somewhere.

Vimeo is similar to Youtube but it’s more secure in the way it shares and allows viewers to access recordings.

Loreal Moss

Nothing would get done in my business without Loreal Moss. She creates all the graphics and copywriting for my summits. Out of all the resources listed, she is the most valuable. She comes highly recommended from me and others in various industries.
